20 Sep Obesity in children
The elephant in the room that everyone fails to address. The child obesity rate is rising higher and higher each year. We see tons of diet programs and supplements to help adults lose weight. What about the children…..? Will any company will take one of the products that for an adult to lose weight and design and manufacturer it with children in mind to make it work and safe for them. This epidemic is leaving parents frustrating and helpless… Doctors tells you stop feeding them fatty foods and have them be more active…Well if it was that simple, we wouldn’t be here. Most parents try and nothing works. Am not saying let’s filled our children with tons of diet pills and protein shakes but we can design a healthy child safe craving crunch bars or drinks or appetite suppressants.
Another problem I have is, not enough gyms are allowing children in to get healthy. No gym is design for children to come and work out. The age you can take your child to the gym with you is 16 years old, what happens to the 11-12 year old’s are battling obesity and they parents wants a gym they can take them to where it’s safe and not judgmental and actually have staff on site to help with correct exercise and motivations.
Yes, I know but there’s afterschool programs, which are very costly, I might add. Most after school program is not designed to help an obese child, most of these children are too shy or embarrass to participate afraid of being bullied. These children need a safe haven; like a gym that are children safe and accepted. According to https://kidshealth.org A number of things contribute to a person becoming overweight. Diet habits, lack of exercise, genetics, or a combination of these can be involved. In some instances, too much weight gain may be due to an endocrine problem, genetic syndrome , or some medicines. Let’s not even get into all the health issues associate with obesity. With that being said, not all obesity is due to unhealthy eating. Just like we have all safe supplements, safe diet plans, safe weight loss program for adults let’s not forget the children…After all, they are our future. Let’s keep them healthy…
